Version 1.1 of Fallout 3 for the PlayStation 3 is live in North America and the UK, adding in trophy support, fixing in-game notifications, and generally making post-apocalyptic DC a nicer place to live.

Players in North America and the United Kingdom who start up Fallout 3 today will be required to download a 24MB patch, but it will be well worth their time. The 1.1 patch adds 51 trophies to the game - 38 bronze, 10 silver, 2 gold, and one platinum - gained for anything from completing quests to that old platinum standby, earning all the other trophies. Along with trophies, the patch also fixes the issues with the in-game notification pausing gameplay, the GOAT freeze bug, and various other issues that have been plaguing PS3 players since the game’s release.

The patch is currently only available for the English language versions of the game, but is in the works for other regions. For your reading enjoyment, we’ve included a list of the new trophies below. Enjoy!

Bethesda’s seemingly released the long awaited Trophy and bug patch for the PS3 version of Fallout 3.
Nothing concrete has been forthcoming from publisher, but all those internet reports can’t be wrong, can they?

Sony is expanding the world of PSN puzzler Echochrome once again, with a new patch today that not only adds trophy support, but also unlocks 1,000 user-generated levels to Freeform play.

Fans of the M.C. Escher-inspired puzzle platformer have been clamoring for trophy support ever since there was trophy support, so that feature alone is exciting enough, but the big news here really is the 1,000 new user-generated levels being added to the game. Up until now, user-generated levels have been being released in batches of 10 at a time. This massive batch of new levels is available by simply entering Freeform play, during which the new additions will come up at random.

Trophies, points and Unlockable Achievements are all well and good, but if you have really made an impression in a game world, wouldn’t it be nice to have some proper recognition? What’s a Chaos Warrior gotta do to get some respect around here?

Warhammer Online aims to address this issue by erecting statues of highly-ranked players on each of its shard world servers. It may not be as permanent as actual stone, but it should last until the next client upgrade at least - which is immortality of a sort.
